Egypt

Last years Christmas escape to Maroc  was awesome, so we concluded to do the same escaping again this year.
In october I booked ourselves a place via AirBnB near the pyramids of Giza, because our Mirte was 2 years old when we first visited and she was dying to see them again for she didn’t remember.

The Pyramids Loft

When I entered my wishes in AirBNB I couldn’t really believe such nice place would be available for 3 people (the eldest daughters didn’t want to leave their boyfriends this year AND needed to study for exams in January)

Communication with Thomas via AirBNB site felt honest and genuine and all my query’s were answered patently by Thomas. (location coordinates, 16 beds ? etc)

We entered our 2 bedroom loft late at night and Thomas brought us water and towels immediately. We slept like a log in comfy beds (1 seperate room for our princess)  and woke up with a WOW view :

View from the roof

The rest of our private 2 bedroom apparment was nice as well, exactly as the pictures on AirBNB promised.
Bathroom, kitchen and living area all OK.

The first day we started with a walk around in the area :

AND discovered the pyramids just 50 meters walk from our place !!

CAIRO – EGYPT

Conclusions :

  • people are very friendly
  • our lodgings could not have been better
  • transport is hectic but efficient
  • environment very very dirty
  • wheater in December : cold in morning and evening thus good for hiking/walking but bring pullover !
  • bring anti air-pollution masks if you need to be downtown
