The Kenya Airports Authority yesterday launched the first international cargo services at Malindi Airport, to transport live seafood to China.

Global Focus Logistics in partnership with Kenya Airways began exporting live lobsters and crabs to China and other countries.

Global Focus said it would take 24 hours for the food to reach China.

Malindi Airport manager Walter Agong said the new cargo services showed the potential of exporting perishable goods directly to Europe and other countries.
