Food in schools

Thursday, May 1, 2014 – 00:00 — ALLOYS MUSYOKA

A Kwale MCA has tabled a motion in the assembly urging the county government to set aside an annual budget to cater for the primary schoolfeeding programme. Mwereni ward representative Kassim Pojjo said there is an increase in number of students dropping out of school after the programme was abolished. Pojjo said Kinango and Lunga Lunga subcounties are the worst affected. He said the MCAs and the county government will not be relevant to Kwale people if such programme is left to die.
