Train passengers, tourists stranded in Taru after hitch

HUNDREDS of passengers on Tuesday night spent the night in the cold after a train they were to travel in got a hitch at Mackinnon road in Taru. The Rift Valley Railways passengers train did not make it to Mombasa after another cargo train derailed near Mackinnon blocking the main Mombasa-Nairobi railway line. Yesterday, the RVR general manager passenger service James Siele declined to comment on the issue.
